CHARITY RESPONSE TO REVIEW: The Minnesota Sinfonia is proud to be part of the Charities Review process, and is absolutely committed to top quality community service and fiscal responsibility. We are very pleased to report that over the past ten years, the Sinfonia has always ended its years fulfilling all of its commitments, had money in the bank, and no outstanding debt! And, according to independent annual audits, the Sinfonia has consistently allocated over 80% of its resources to its artistic product.
The Minnesota Sinfonia’s policies of free admission and children welcome at all performances, and its very successful Music in the Schools, which takes the orchestra into inner-city public schools at no charge to the districts or its students, makes this orchestra not only a valuable community asset that is not duplicated by other local arts organizations, but also unique in the music business. Over14,000 school children and 18,000 community members are served by the Minnesota Sinfonia every year.
